Shea Moisture Products - Review - Target (9.99)
Deep Treatment Masque: Um……no. This was not moisturizing for me whatsoever. It’s super thick and seems to contain great ingredients, but it’s just not hydrating. I’m sure it’s a successful styling cream, but it’s way too heavy for my liking. I typically don’t like products with butter consistencies on my hair. I’m just a little confused as to how others were able to rave about this. I did notice that most girls that were in love w/ this, used it as a styling cream. Those who used it as a wash-out conditioner like me didn’t give such glowing reviews. Ultimately, I say “boo” to Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque. BOOOO.
Curl Enhancing Smoothie: Love. this. stuff. First, let me say that I think this product should be renamed. I don’t think it makes natural curls pop. What it does is seriously hydrate your hair in a non-greasy way. I applied a teeny tiny bit (half a dime size) to each section of my braid out; I always do 3 braids on each side of my head. Then, on top of the smoothie, I applied the same amount of aloe vera gel for hold (without the gel, you won’t get as much definition). My hair was reaaaaaally soft the next day and the next day. :) I give this product a yay!! YAY!!
Moisture Retention Shampoo: I like this shampoo. Usually, my hair feels dried out and stripped after using a sulfate-free shampoo (go figure), but with this shampoo, I didn’t have that experience. My hair felt soft, yet clean. My only reservation is that the shampoo doesn’t smell that great; it doesn’t stink, but it’s not a pleasurable smell either. But yes, I like this shampoo enough to say that it has made it into my rotation. I give this shampoo a yeah! YEAH!
