Boyfriend Catching BBQ Pork Ribs

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard the saying “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” I think any guy out there will tell you that the saying is oh-so-true.

Last night I made BBQ Pork Ribs for my b/f and after he licked his ribs dry, I experienced an incessant amount of cuddling and cooing. It goes without saying that I couldn’t have asked for a better love potion!! LOL

If you are interested in reminding your man of how much of a full package you are, or if you have friends coming over, or if you are just a hungry hungry hippo, I totally suggest cookin’ up your own batch of ribs. :)

This recipe is actually from my DAD, which is more evidence that this is man-pleasing grub. -_-

Onward ho to the recipe! —There are several ways to make ribs:

(1) boil, bake & broil

(2) bake & broil

(3) grill

Options 2 and 3 take FOREVER (we’re talking 2-3 hours just baking) and option 3 requires a grill and fire and all kinds of danger, which is why I believe option 1 is the best option for our purposes (remember we’re young, cheap and chic)!

Boil, Bake & Broil:

(a) Bring a large pot of water to boil

(b) Drop your ribs in your pot and bring temperature down to medium low — leave ribs in the pot for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until tender (but not TOO tender!!)

(c) Remove ribs from hot water and place onto a deep baking dish and season ribs with whatever you prefer — my winning combination is always garlic powder, (seasoned) salt, and pepper.

(d) Slather ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce! I used Honey BBQ Sauce because the b/f requested that, but if I had my way, I would’ve gone with Hickory Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce by Sweet Baby Ray’s. Love that brand!

(e) Cover baking dish with foil and bake ribs at 400 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes.

(f) After about 20-25 minutes, remove foil and broil ribs for about 10 to 15 minutes. At this point make sure you’re keeping a close eye on the ribs. You don’t want to burn em’ up!

(g) Finally, remove ribs from oven. Slather on a bit more BBQ sauce and SERVE!!

This recipe can take anywhere from 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Either way, it sure beats 3 hours! :) :)

ENJOY your scrumptious tender ribs in no time at all!!!
