Kiehl’s Superbly Smoothing Argan Shampoo - Review

Argan oil is supposedly the new “liquid gold” in haircare. It’s said to improve the elasticity of hair, promote hair growth, and strengthen the hair in general among many other claims.

I tried it today and I can’t speak for all the claims since I’ve only used it a grand total of one time, lol, but I can say I could tell the oil was deposited on my hair since my hair felt kind of greasy after I rinsed the shampoo out. So greasy, in fact, that I thought that maybe I hadn’t rubbed my scalp and hair vigorously enough when applying the shampoo—twas weird. At least I can say that the shampoo definitely didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped….

Would I buy again? Mmm…probably not. The full size bottle is $18 and I wasn’t wowed enough to fork up the cash. I might look into purchasing a small bottle of argan oil instead of jojoba once my jojoba runs out just to take advantage of all the benefits, but that’s about it. :)

Pros: Lathers well, hair doesn’t feels stripped after use, fair amount of argan oil in the product, sulfate/silicone/paraben free

Cons: Expensive, could leave hair feeling weighed down and greasy, smell not so pleasant (has an herbal scent rather than a flowery or fruity smell)
